MILOS CARD

This card seems so fitting for today. My closest friend in the world lost her dog this year too. 2012 has not been our year!! Weeks after is when I lost my dog Austin. I wanted to make her a card to show how much i cared for her and how sad i was that she lost her baby. The third photo is a picture of a poem that was given to us when both of our pets died. It talks about the rainbow bridge and where our pets go. The poem was my inspiration for this card. I only used the Paper Pups cartridge. I got this as a digital download and I love it. On the front is Milo (My friends dog) and he is waiting for her at the rainbow bridge. On the blue paper i stamped some clouds using some ink and a sponge. I layered the lower part of the grass so the bridge had depth to give the illusion that Milo was about to walk across it. I made the Rainbow bridge using the PDDU cartridge and used some glitter pens to give the bridge the rainbow look. I took Milo and gave him so white flock to look like fur.  Above that on my Xyron i wrote the sentiment..."Look to the edge of heaven and you will see...." On the inside i used the same blue and green paper as the front. The clouds got stamped on and the hills were layered once again. I picked two random dogs that were cute and then i found the dog that was closest to my Golden Retriever Austin. I wanted to put a cat in there too since ALL animals are welcomed at the Rainbow Bridge. I found some dog accents at Hobby Lobby and added them to give the dogs a blissful place. I added some other fabric flowers as a memorial to them. Then I could not resist giving the dog with his nose up in the air something to look at. Then above that i wrote my sentiment to finish off the front sentiment.."Your Milo and My Baby Dog living and playing pain free."I LOVED how this card turn out and both of our dogs deserved a memorial.

UPDATE: The picture of the poem is hard to see...so here it is in text:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
