BABY MINI BOOK - ARTBOOKING

Well this month Dr Phil Scraps and his design team are featuring the new Cricut® Artbooking Collection. Well I am in LOVE with this cartridge. Everything you need to create mini-books or layouts is all in this cartridge. Everything is even perfectly sized for you.

This is Ken with Ken's Kreations and I want to showcase the finished BABY MINI BOOK ALBUM.

Well I decided to make a mini book for my best friend who just had the blessing of welcoming a little monkey into her family. This was a perfect time to use the Cricut® Artbooking Collection along with the Babycakes Paper Packet and the Wild Wonders stamp set. All elements for this project were taken from the Cricut® Artbooking Collection and the majority of the project features cuts from pages 50-51.

Over the past couple of weeks I featured the first 6 pages of this mini-book project. Today I would like to share pages 7 & 8 with you. I have also posted the FINAL project with the cinch binding below. This project turned out great and thanks to Cricut® Artbooking Collection everything was so easy!!

HERE IS THE FINISHED MINI BABY BOOK

Now let's take a look at pages 7 & 8:

Here is page 7 from the mini-book album. This is the final page in the book that ends the 12 month pictures and here is where they would post their favorite 1 year old picture.  The page cut come from the Cricut® Artbooking Collection found on page 51. Everything was sized at 8 inches as recommended in the cartridge booklet. I took all the differnt colors featured in the Babycakes Paper Packet and glued them on the back of the overlay. I used the diamond shape that came with the Cricut® Artbooking Collection  package from Close To My Heart. The diamond features the word "IT'S ABOUT TO GET WILD IN HERE!" which comes with the Wild Wonders stamp set. For the first time i got the privilege of using Chocolate Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad for the sentiment and let me tell you it works amazing!

This just showcases the hippo stamp that came with the Wild Wonders stamp set. I used some black ink and blotter to give the hippo a dirty look and used some pearl paint for the teeth and heart.

The back of the book I wanted to create a place that the parents could stick some of their favorite pictures to show people. This cartridge has so many different envelopes and pouches you can choose from. I choose the pouch that is featured on page 42 of the Cricut® Artbooking Collection. The phase can be found on page 44 of the Cricut® Artbooking Collection workbook.

To finish the project off, I used my We R Memory Keepers Cinch wire binding system to finish the book. Remember this tip. To create these books using this system you have to edit the pages in Cricut Craft-room to take away the three holes.

I am so HAPPY on how this project turned out. My friend will absolutely love having a mini album that gives her the rights to brag about her "little Monkey". I could not have created such a wonderful memory keeper without the Cricut® Artbooking CollectionBabycakes Paper Packet and Wild Wonders stamp set. I can not give enough praise for this cartridge and all of the different possibilities of projects you can create. It is by far the most versatile cartridge I own.
