NEW SILHOUETTE QUICK TIP SERIES

A few of my blog followers have asked me to make some videos around certain topics in the Silhouette Studio software. I loved this idea and have decided to make a series of videos called "Silhouette Quick Tips" You can find these series of videos at its permeant home here:

For my first video I was asked by a follower on how to import SVG's into the software and how I organize them by keywords. Here is the video! If you have any Quick Tips you would like to see let me know! Thanks for everything! I have the best group of followers a guy can ask for!

Also here is the cheat sheet of files:
*SVG files (cut file for cutting machines)
*DXF (cut file for cutting machines. Can be used with Silhouette Studio (FREE) software.)
*PDF (cut file separated and colored for printing and hand cutting)
*JPG files (image file with white backgrounds)
*PNG files (image file with transparent backgrounds)
*The JPGs and PNGs are high quality with a resolution of 300 dpi.
MTC: Make-The-Cut
Vector: A vector graphics program (like Adobe Illustrator) uses these mathematical formulae to construct the screen image
WPC: Pazzle

  1. Hi Ken,

Great video! I'm new to the Silhouette world. I had only purchased files from Silhouette's online store which were automatically downloaded. I recently purchased my first SVG files from another source and was totally lost when I saw all the different extensions, I had no idea what to do! I'm so glad you made this video, now I understand. Now I just need to see if you've made a video on how to add the cut lines!

    Thanks so much for sharing!

    Peace, Love and Joy,
    Joyce
