BIRTHDAY WISH

Hey Everyone! Ken here with another Ken's Kreations. Well I had a VERY belated birthday to get out to a very special friend and I knew exactly what i wanted to make her. Here is the card and how it turned out:

I made this card using two of the EXCLUSIVE cartridges format the Close To My Heart Family. The CTMH CRICUT ART PHILOSOPHY CARTRIDGE and the CTMH CRICUT ARTBOOKING CARTRIDGE. I love these cartridges for making cards since they have so many options and everything is sized for cards. Below this post you will find some YouTube Videos on these cartridges.  I started with the CTMH CRICUT ART PHILOSOPHY CARTRIDGE for the card base and cut it at 5.25 inches in a plaid. i moved onto the next layer which is the star layout which I found on the CTMH CRICUT ARTBOOKING CARTRIDGE. This is normally sized for a 12X12 layout however I sized it at 5X5. I cut it out on CRICUT CARDSTOCK. Now this image normal has square corners so to match the card I had to take my CORNER CHOMPER and round off these edges to make them rounded versus squared. I love how easy this tool makes this. I inked my edges using CTMH NEW ENGLAND IVY INK  and used my SCTOTCH ATG to affix it down. Still using the same CTMH CRICUT ARTBOOKING CARTRIDGE I moved onto the main focus of the card which is the sentiment. I started with the base of the wish on CRICUT RED CARDSTOCK and inked the edges with CTMH CRANBERRY INK. On the edges I used on my favorites NEW finds which is the VIVA PEARL PENS to add some nice dimension to the project. Layered on the red is the blue layer which is also used from CRICUT BLUE CARDSTOCK. I inked the edges here with CTMH INDIAN CORN BLUE INK. I ran this piece through my XYRON STICKER MAKER. I raised this up from the card using 3D FOAM TAPE.  Layered on this is the cupcake that is also used for the letter "i". For base on the cupcake I used WHITE DAISY CARDSTOCK and layered it with some yellow paper I found in my stash. For the frosting I used DIAMOND STICKLES and the candle I used YELLOW STICKLES. The cupcake is raised using 2 POP DOTS layered on each other. Above this sentiment is the "Make A" and this was dry simple I just cut this out with the same yellow paper I found in my stash. I ran this though my XYRON STICKER MAKER and layered it on some black wash tape that I got with my WE R MEMORY KEEPERS WASHI TAP DISPENSER (One of my best buys EVER). At the end of each each side i put a candle embellishment.
