I BELIEVE IN YOU CARD

Hey Everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations.

Well I finally got to use the new Brutus Monroe Products for my latest project!!

This was a card made for a special friend to get them through a hard day. I used the Butterfly Sentiments for this card. What I love about this set is the ability to mix the wide variety of sentiment to match any occasion! I waned this to appear that someone took a photo of the butterfly!

I started with some paper out of my stash to match the different Brutus Monroe Inks. I started with the black reflective base card and cut this at an A2 card size. For the red paper layer I ran the card stock with the Pointelle Cover Up Die through my Cut'n'Boss, /this allowed the black reflective material to shine through the back of the card. I wrapped a piece of Black & White Ribbon around the base of the card.

Now I could focus on the main feature which is the butterfly photo effect. I took my favorite heavy White Card Stock and using my Cut'n'Boss ran the paper through the machine with the Instant Camera Die. This will give you two separate cuts. The instant camera outline and the a small square that is in the inside of the photo. I took the small square and using my MISTI stamped the butterfly stamp using Brutus Monroe Wagon Ink. I then took the Brutus Monroe Sidewalk Ink and using Ranger Blender inked the edges of the instant camera cut. Now I was able to use the sentiment portion of the Butterfly Sentiments. I lined the Instant Camera cut in my MISTI and using Black Ink stamped the sentiment "I Believe".  I raised both of these pieces up with Foam Tape.  I finished the photo off giving it a reflective look by using Aleene's Paper Glaze. Once everything was dried I took a Distressing Tool and roughed up parts of the cut to give the photo a worn look.

The last part of the sentiment was the "You". For this I wanted the sentiment to over-layer the photo a bit. In order to do this I needed the sentiment to be stamped independently from the bottom layer. I once again used  White Card Stock and the Butterfly Sentiments. I used the  MISTI tool with  Black Ink and stamped the sentiment. To get a nice even cut on this image I used my the Brother Scan-N-Cut with a .04 cut.
