So one of the great things about the Cricut Explore Family is the ability to use the Print-Then-Cut Feature using Design Space. Well to support Print-Then-Cut Feature, Cricut has released a collection of Printable Materials that can be used with the Cricut Explore Family. In this project I am going to show you how you can use your Cricut Explore Air, Cricut Explore One , original Cricut Explore and Printable Magnet Sheets to make a fun Angry Birds Magnet Set. 

**This same project can be completed using the Silhouette Cameo and Printable Magnet Sheet**

So let me ask all of the parents out there a question. How many times have you sacrificed your smartphone so your kid can play Angry Birds? Angry Birds is a multi-billion dollar franchise and has taken over peoples phones around the world. So in this video I show you how you can create your own Angry Birds Magnet Set so your kids can still have the birds close to them even if your phone is not. 

CRICUT EXPLORE  INSTRUCTIONS

This project was all started with an amazing blog that I found. Craft Idea For Kids is an amazing blog that inspires children with different craft projects! For this project the only difference is instead of using scissors to do my cutting I am using my Cricut Explore Air. In preparation for this project you will want to head over to Craft Ideas For Kids - Angry Birds Magnets project and save all three templates to your computer or desktop. You will want to download the Angry Birds Template, Building Block Template, and the Target Practice Template. Once these are downloaded you will want to upload the images and clean them up using the magic wand. Don't forget to get the white areas on the inside of the blocks. If you are not sure how to do this Check Out This Video (CLICK HERE). At this point you are ready to print out your templates on Printable Magnet Sheets on your home printer. I love using my Epson Artisan 1430 making sure you set your print quality on "PHOTO QUALITY" to get the best print quality. Once these are printed out follow the prompts on your computer screen using Design Space. Make sure that you set your smart dial to "CUSTOM" and choose Printable Magnet Sheets. Now your Cricut Explore Air, Cricut Explore One , original Cricut Explore will read the registration marks and cut along all of the templates. It is important to use a NEW Standard Cricut Mat or your Strong Grip Cutting Mat. Once it is finished with all three templates your kids will be able to play with all of their new Angry Birds Magnet Set on your house refrigerator. 

SILHOUETTE CAMEO INSTRUCTIONS

Follow the same instructions as above. The only difference is how you will clean up your Angry Birds Template, Building Block Template, and the Target Practice Template. With Silhouette Studio (Designers Edition) you will need to Trace your items to let your Silhouette Cameo know you are using the Print-Then-Cut feature. Check Out This Video To See How To Trace (CLICK HERE).
