HALLOWEEN GROCERY BAG THEMED CARD

Hey, everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations and I am so excited to share today's project with all of you!

Sometimes inspiration comes from just about anywhere. When planning my LIVE Make-It-Monday project, I knew I wanted to feature some Halloween items, but not sure what I wanted to do. That was until I was looking at Pinterest and came across an old school grocery shopping bag featuring Halloween images. And just like that, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to create.

The inspiration for this card came from Pinterest while I was searching for Halloween decor. I saw an old style grocery shopping bag that featured a Halloween scene. These vintage shopping bags always featured one color and black and used the brown color grocery bag as the fill in for all other items. It instantly reminds me of my childhood as these were the bags we used to do our trick-or-treating. Here is the inspiration for my LIVE Make-It-Monday.

After this inspiration, I just needed to plan out my project and figure out how much I wanted it to match this photos. Below I will share the LIVE Make-It-Monday. After the video, I will also give you some additional photos and product I used. The entire list of supplies used for this card will be featured on my shopping list at the bottom of this post.

Remember this was a LIVE YouTube video. A couple of things to remember is that during the live feed I answered questions from viewers as I walked through the entire process. We try to state the question before answering it. This is a MUCH longer video than most of my other videos due to the LIVE nature and NO EDITING.

I am so proud of how this turned out. Sometimes we have a vision of what a project will turn out, and then reality happens and the project is a 180 of what you had imagined. In this case, I feel the card turned out exactly how I imagined it. Of course, this was in part due to the amazing product I used.

If you did not watch the video, you might have missed some of the amazing products I used. I wanted to highlight a few of them here. For the stamp, I used the Fun Stampers Journey Creepy Kids Stamp Set, which was perfect for this project. The idea of the card was to feature Trick-Or-Treaters walking to their next destination. To mimic the asphalt road, I opted to use Black Soot Oxide Ink.
Because of the nature of the style, I knew I wanted to use the new Ranger Dylusions Paint Pens. However, I knew by using these pens, they might cover up my black ink on the stamp. Due to this, I used Brutus Monroe Raven Ultra Fine Embossing Powder. And many of you will note that for the sentiment I used my FAVORITE die sets from Gina K Designs & Therm-O-Web. Gina K's Die Sets feature a set of either single stitch or double stitch, and when you layer these dies you get a perfect 1/16th offset. These are my GO TO dies for sentiments.
