In August of 2017, I was fortunate to attend the "Make Something You Love" event in Utah. At this event, Cricut announced some new products coming to the DIY movement. The BIG announcement was the introduction of the NEW Cricut Maker. At the time they announced the Cricut Maker, they shared the adaptive tool system which makes the Cricut Maker revolutionary!
In today's post, I am going to cover the amazing Cricut Maker and the adaptive tool system! Cricut has released truly a unique cutting machine that finally offers the ability to change your machines tools WITHOUT buying or upgrading to a new machine! The Cricut Maker features unique, commercial-grade technology that controls the direction of the tool and the cut pressure to match the material being used. Plus, with the 10X more cutting power you can take on more materials than ever with the revolutionary adaptive tool system.
Only CAt the time of launch, Cricut announced the Cricut Maker and the first tool for the adaptive tool system, the Rotary Blade. The Rotary Blade gave the Cricut Maker the ability to cut through hundreds of different fabric material with amazing intricacy. However, what really intrigued me was the "promise" of a suite of tools for the adaptive tool system. So, has Cricut delivered on this promise? Well, in a way yes!

I have to admire Cricut for holding back a release due to the fact that the tool did not perform as expected. However, once the Knife Blade debuted, it had to get the consumer to shift their expectations first!

The Scoring Wheel was a HUGE customer request. The Cricut Maker offered 10X the pressure to use with the new tools, however, the original Scoring Stylus was pretty underwhelming. So, Cricut listened and released the Scoring Wheel that featured a single or double score!
Make every fold sharp, crisp, and to the point. Single Scoring Wheel places razor-sharp creases in light to medium-weight materials like cardstock and acetate. Double Scoring Wheel creates crisp folds in coated poster board and light cardboard.
