Hello All! Well I have some exciting news! I finally gave in and bought a Cricut Expression 2!! Well the vote is in and I LOVE IT!! Well it has been a busy week for myself and my new little cricut machine. I made three different cards for a very good friend and her wedding. The first card was a card that she wanted to give to her aunt and uncle. They were letting the couple use their lake for the wedding venue and she wanted a card to thank them for that. On the front of the card I used my elegant edges cartridge. I used it at 3.5 inches and the shadow at 4. I raised the entire thing up with some foam squares and put two amber jewels, one on each side of the sentiment. I found the stamp on the fiskars wedding theme pack. On the inside I used once again the elegant edges for the background of the sentiment. I used my Making Memories tag maker around the couples name and raised it u with foam squares. I added to flowers and used some buttons for the middle of the flowers. Since the wedding venue was at a lake, I used the camping critters for the lake scene. I the waves i used fiskars curly embossing folder and for the trees I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder and put them both through my Cuttlebug. I then added some stamped color on the trees and so stickles glue on the waves to give the illusion that the water was glistening in the sun. The sentiment was perfect for this type of card.
