USING METAL DIES WITH THE CUT'N'BOSS

Hey Everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations

Well yesterday I debut my Cut'n'Boss Review  on my YouTube Channel.

In this video I show you how the Cut'n'Boss works, a few projects, tips and my overall impressions of this machine. Well in today's post I wanted to take a closer look on how to use this machine with your favorite metal dies to create beautiful cards! The Cut'n'Boss supports a wide variety of metal dies that you can use in the machine including:

Sizzix Dies
Spellbinder Dies
Tim Holtz Dies
Die-Namties Dies
Cuttlebug Metal Dies
GO Accuquilt Dies
Many More Metal Dies

I have four different projects I want to share with you using some different metal dies that I had in my collection. In my experience this machine did a wonderful job with all metal dies and I was really impressed with how even all of the cuts and scores came out. Lets take a look at some examples.

WELCOME BABY CARD

This was such a fun card to make. Currently I am addicted to Lil'Inkers Metal Dies and I used them to create this stunning card. I started with the Dual Stitched Circle Dies. Now what is great about these metal dies is when you run them through the Cut'n'Boss , it gives a dual stitched look on both the punched out circle and the negative circle. Once I cut out all of the circles I ran the Circle Banner Die through the Cut'n'Boss and I finished up with the Anytime Tags 2 die set. I layered all the pieces and for an extra touch I used some ButtercupOcean Blue and Pewter liquid pearls on the banner. I used OakTree Stamps Baby Bump set for the sentiment.

AMERICAN FLAG CARD

I just love how simply yet dramatic this card is. I used the Cut'n'Boss and Southwest Cricut Cardstock with the Long & Skinny Rectangles and Stitched Stars Die Set. I used some Foam Tape to raise the stars up form the flag background. I LOVE how the Cut'n'Boss scored the stitched lines so perfectly and evenly. You can really see the stitching of the American Flag in this project!

ABSTRACT STAINED GLASS CARD

Now this is by far my favorite card that I made using the Cut'n'Boss and scrap pieces of material in my craft room. I used the Spellbinders Glass Effects Die and die cut this onto Black Cricut Card Stock. I was able to then use some 3M Spray Glue which lets me spray a layer of adhesive onto the back of the cut and layer it onto the base of the card. This is one of my favorite tricks to avoid glue mess. I took some random pieces of card stock in my stash and ran those through the Cut'n'Boss and started the puzzle searching process for the pieces. For the spots that I did not fill with paper I filled those with the following colors of stickles glitter glue, True BlueGlam PinkLime Green and Purple. For the sentiment I used the Lil'Inkers Double Stitched Circle Die Set and raised this up with Foam Tape

So as you can see the Cut'n'Boss can handle pretty much ANY metal dies on the market. I love how this machine has inspired me to start using dies again as I really feel they add the special touch to any project. Check out an earlier project I made with the  Cut'n'Boss and metal dies....CLICK HERE
