DISNEYLAND ANNIVERSARY FRAME

Hey Everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations.

I love spending time in my craft room exploring all genres of crafting. However, by far my favorite item to make in my craft room is home decor frames! I get lost in the creativity of this. Before we get to today's post you can see some of the frames I have created here:

So as you can imagine I was ecstatic when my brother and sister-in-law asked for me to make them a custom frame as their Christmas present.

My brother and his wife LOVE Disneyland and they opted to spend their 20 year anniversary at the most magical place on earth. During this vacation they kept some momentous and asked for me to use these items in a shadow box. I LOVE doing this, so I went to designing right away.

One of my favorite things about Cricut Design Space, is the ability to design a concept for my frames and see it come to life. For this frame here was the concept I came up with:

Now for the Castle I found a Disney Castle PNG File for FREE and was able to break it down into layers using Cricut Design Space. If you are not aware on how to do this, check out my YouTube tutorial on this process. CLICK HERE TO WATCH HOW TO CREATE LAYERS IN CRICUT DESIGN SPACE.

Once I had created the different layers I could cut out the castle with different papers, including Cricut Glitter Cardstock. Now it was very important to include the Partners Statue from Disneyland. I found this image online and was able to import it into Cricut Design Space and eliminated the background using the magic wand. I cut the statue on Silver Metallic Foil.

Of course everyone's favorite nights at Disneyland include fireworks, so I needed to find the perfect ones for this frame. My favorite I came across were from Miss Kate's Cuttables and I also used Cricut Glitter Cardstock for these.

Now you will see my sentiment changed a little bit from my concept art, however I still used the Disney Mickey Font for the 2016. This font cartridge provides you a shadow layer as well, On the top of the 2016 I used Yellow Enamel Paint to highlight the year.

Of course included with the frame would be some personal photos. I printed these out using my Canon Selphy, I also rounded the edges using the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. However the frame was missing some design elements. To spruce it up I used some Diamond Stickles Glue and Glitter Washi Tape

Well it is safe to say my Brother loved his Christmas gift! Plus I enjoyed every minute from the design phase to the actually crafting of the frame.

I have listed all of the supplies and FREE files I used to make this frame down below. This way you can make it for the Disney fan in your life. Please use the links below to shop and by doing so you will be helping support Ken's Kreations!!

Remember caring is sharing and I would love for you to share this post.
