I have a great Father so naturally he deserved a GREAT Fathers Day Card. Here is a little tidbit of information. I am Spokane, WA and if you go to wikipedia and look at Father's Day you will see that this holiday was created and started in Spokane, WA. YEAH!! So as you can see this card had to be top notch!! I used two different cartridges and my Making Memories Slice Elite on this card. On the front i used a lot of layering and textures. I took green heavy card stock for the base and layered that with a metallic blue heavy card stock. This was layered with my print paper that coordinating with the other colors. I then took my Elegant Edges cartridge and found the shape i liked the best. I used layering here also to build up to the actual shirt and tie. The cartridge i used here was from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I matched the tie with the pattern paper and then added foam squares under the base of the tie and at the top of the shirt collar. I then added tiny buttons to give the shirt the look of a button down shirt. On the third picture you can see how i layered the card. I took the pattern paper and glued it onto the blue paper. I then punched holes in the 4 corners and used some silver brads. I then added foam squares to the back and layered it on the green paper. I took the green elegant edges part and layered it on the blue. I took the completed shirt and added that with foam squares to the green. The inside was very simple. I used the same Elegant Edges shape and once again layered this inside. using foam squares to give it depth. I then printed the sentiment using my Slice Elite and wrote our names using my Xyron Design Runner. I love this card almost as much as I love my Dad! Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's.
