WEDDING ALBUM TO PARENTS

So as i said in an earlier post, I have been a busy little bug this week. I have a friend who is getting married in two weeks and she requested a few items. She wanted a thank you card for her wedding venue (see earlier post). She also wanted two cards for each set of the bride and grooms parents. Well how do I sum up everything that someone's parents did for them in one card?? I could not so I made this instead:

For this book I used my book binder, Your Story. I used the 4X6 white album. On the cover I used my Making Memories Slice Elite to cut the Mom & Dad and used some paper butterflies. The theme of the album was based on a poem thanking the parents for raising them.
On the First page I used the Sweethearts cartridge. On the sentiments I used my We R Craft makers Sew Easy. I know it is cheating, but i have no idea how to sew! The binder clip was only used to keep the pages from turning as i took pictures of the book.

The next page I wanted to focus on the child growing up. I went with a pink theme and tried to pick items that were different phases of her life that her parents could look back on as sweet memories. I used 4 different cartridges. I used a EK border punch for the flower border and then finished it off with some pink gems.

The next page focus on her looking back on her memories. I wanted this to show more of her accomplishments. The previous page was focused on her younger years, so I wanted a page to focus on her days in High School. I used the Drivers License and graduation cap from Locker Talk. I then colored and wrote by hand her license to match the state she got her license in. I was able to find a picture of her so i went ahead and cut it down to size and used my xyron sticker maker to stick it to the license. I wanted to make sure the graduation cap and class of 2006 matched her school colors and that is why we went with a green theme. For the sentiment i used another EK border punch and found some self adhesive ribbon on the top and matched some embellishments on the bottom.

This was a simple page just to thank the parents for the loving home they provided to her during her life . I used an imagine cartridge for the house and another EK border punch for the sentiment. I used some heart embellishments around the house.

On this page I wanted to show the couple starting a new life together. I wanted this to be a nice classic wedding color page. So i used the traditional black and white and found a cute young couple who just got hitched. I used another EK border punch (which all of these can be found at Joann's). I then had some glitter flowers to dress up the sentiment page.

The last page was the overall thank you. Even though this couple was starting a new life, they would not be standing with their new partner without having such wonderful parents. I used the Formal Occasion for the photo of the parents and my Making Memories Slice Elite for the hearts. I found some self adhesive ribbon to match the hearts and pull all of the colors together.

I made two of these. one for the bride and the other for the groom. The groom set will be posted tomorrow. I used my Xyron Design Runner for all of the printing in the album. The bride and groom loved these books that they could give to their parents. I felt that the parents deserved more than a card since both of the kids getting married were very very special to me. And without those parents, neither of them would be in my life. Hope you enjoyed!!
