BATMAN ROOM SIGN

My Best Friend son had a birthday party, and it was a big one. This was his first Birthday he was celebrating in his new home and his new room. He is really into Batman right now, so I wanted to make him something using my Batman Cartridge. I decided to make a shadow box featuring Batman. I started with a base of yellow card paper. I cut both of the Batman figures at 6.25. I used the basic colors that were used in his bedroom set. On each Batman I used blue pain markers on the blue parts to give it a shinny finish to match what a superhero's outfit would look like. On his grey suit I used an ink blotter and highlighted it with black ink to give it a look of texture. I used also a white gel pen to color in his eyes and mouth. Mental note...trying to cut out Batman's tiny eyes will make you go mental. I then took black pearl pain and colored Batman's under ware/thong (whatever superhero's call that area of clothing). I did this since his cape was black, it helped separate it from his cape. I found the "ZAP", "POW!" and "BOOM" on the same cartridge. I used the same colors and finished the top color using Stickles Glitter Glue. I used the font on the Batman Cartridge to spell out Amari and Room. I once again used the blue paint markers to give it the shinny finish that a superhero's suit would have. I took the Batman sentiment and matched the same colors. I used the black pearl pain again on the Batman Logo and the blue paint marker to match the suit. I used foam squares to raise up his name, the word room, the batman logo and the three action words. I finished the background off by gluing star embellishments and metallic candi's dots. Here is a photo of what it looked like in his room:

He LOVED it which made my day that much better!
