DR. PHIL SCRAPS SKETCH CHALLENGE

ARE YOU READY FOR THE CHALLENGE? I KNOW I AM!!

Hi everyone. This is Ken with Ken's Kreations and I wanted to share my interpretation of the sketch challenge that Dr. Phil Scraps had on his blog. Here it is:

Here is the full layout of the sketch challenge. I used the Dakota Paper Pack and Foil Sticker Pack for this entire layout.

For the Sentiment at the top of both pages I used the Cricut® Art Philosophy Collection and the font that comes with that collection. I cut these at 1" on my machine. I used the font and the shadow font feature to obtain this look. This is an amazing cricut cartridge with over 700 images. This cricut cartridge can take your creativity to new levels! I took Sponge Daubers and used Black Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad to brush all the edges of the letters to give it a rustic look to the letters. All of the letters were raised from the page using 3-D Foam Tape. The cowboy portion is on the first page while the up portion is affixed to the second page.

The left side of the page uses multiple pages from the  Dakota Paper Pack and Foil Sticker Pack. On the end of each CTMH paper their is a small paper strip that you can cut off from the paper. I used these strips of paper as the three sprouts coming out at each end of the pictures. At the end of these sprouts I used a punch in two different sizes and then used 3-D Foam Tape to raise the smaller punch atop the bigger punch. I affixed the three stickers atop these and using the same 3-D Foam Tape raised them up from the page. At the top of the page and bottom of the page I used stickers that came with  Dakota Paper Pack and Foil Sticker Pack. The other stickers on the page were all raised up with 3-D Foam Tape. These include the Circle Horse Sticker and the Picture Corner stickers. These also came with the Dakota Paper Pack and Foil Sticker Pack. All 6 of the paper squares were distressed by using Sponge Daubers with the Black Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad. To finish it off I used small circle stickers at each of the junction points of the square paper photo mats.

Here is the right side of the scrapbook layout. All of the  same process were used on this side as they were used on the left side. The only difference is the cowboy cut and the stars. I used this cowboy and using my software had to mirror the image to the other side so his lasso was going the right direction. I layered a circle sticker from the Dakota Paper Pack and Foil Sticker Pack below the cowboy. I used 2 3-D Foam Tape to raise up the first star and then an addition 3-D Foam Tape to raise up the second star. A close up of this can be seen in the photo below.

This was a fun challenge and I cannot wait to see all of the different versions of all the submissions. Please note that the first three pictures were taken in natural daylight outside while the the last picture was taken inside. The color of the paper pack and stickers align more with the last picture.

Thanks for looking at my submission today and I hope everyone has fun with the challenge.
