EAT....SLEEP...CAMP...

Hey Everyone!! This is Ken with Ken's Kreations. I have the honor of being one of the designers of Dr. Phil Scraps Blog.

Now that summer is upon us, many of you are hitting the roads to go camping. So.....now is the perfect time to make a camping card for your tent loving friends!

This card measured 5 X 7 and I used a nice cream card stock for the base. I cut the brown base using CTMH Cocoa Cardstock. Then using the white Chalk Marker I made thin lines around the perimeter of the card.

Using the Campin' Critters Cartridge from Cricut, I cut out the SUV at 2.25" and the Trailer at 2". Using the Enchantment Cardstock Combo Pack, I cut out all the pieces and assembled the items. I Used Orange, Baby Blue, and Yellow Glitter Glue for some elements on the SUV and Trailer. For the tires I used Black Exclusive Inks® Re-Inker mixed with Create-A-Shade™ Pearl Paint and painted each wheel to give it more of a "rubber" look. The road that the SUV and Trailer are on was a stamp from the Camping Delights set. I used Gold Metallics Markers on top of the light grey stamp ink.

Below the SUV and Trailers I used the Camping Delights Stamp Set with the Black Exclusive Inks® Stamp PadHoney Exclusive Inks® Stamp PadPacifica Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad, and Brown Stazon® Ink Pad. I love these stamps!! they really do sum up everything I do when we go camping as a family!

At the top of the Card I used the same Camping Delights Stamp Set for the Eat, Sleep, Camp sentiment.  I stamped these with a light grey ink and used Green, Blue and Orange Glitz Gel and covered each word. I took some basic brown buttons from my Buttons Basic Assortment and thread some white bakers twine from the Baker's Twine Neutral Assortment. I tied the twine in through the button into little bows. I cut a border from for behind the words. Using my CTMH Edge Distresser I distressed all of the sides of the border and took my Sponge Daubers and ran brown stamp ink along them.

I raised the SUV, Trailer, the 3 camping stamps and the 3 words using 3-D Foam Tape.

Thanks for looking at today's cards. Now...what are you waiting for?? Time to go CAMPING!!!!

  2. OMG, Ken, I saw that trailer & car move. I really did!!!!! Honest!!!! :-)

I was checkin' out Sean's FD card again and, when I went back to this project, the trailer & car actually moved across the page. I wasn't imagining it!!!

Anyway, I digress. Your project is over and above, once again, Mr. Ken!!! TFS! :-)
