TREE OF LOVE

Today I had a visitor in my Cricut Room. I love having guests in my Cricut room. Some of my best conversations happen while my machine is cutting and our mouths are moving. Anyways here name is Melissa and here she is:

Well she met an amazing man about one year ago and she asked if we could create him a an anniversary gift. She had an idea and from there we made a "keration" to capture her love for him.

First thing we had to do was paint the canvas background with sky blue and light grass green. After this was dry, we started wit my Silhouette Cameo. I created the tree and hearts in my designer edition software. I then used Silhouette silhouette stencil vinyl and cut it on my machine. I took the outline of these cuts and starting with the tree trunk I took paint with brush and painted inside the stencil. I used metallic paint to match the room decor of the room it was going in. Once the tree trunk dried I used the heart stencil outlines and using three different paints used a brush to paint all of them in including the heart on the tree trunk.

After I applied 3 coats of paint I let it dry overnight. The next morning I started in the lettering. I used the always in my heart font for all of the lettering. The names "Jason & Melissa" were cut at 6" long and 1" tall. The sentiment "Ou love grows with each passing day" was cut at 6" long and .85" tall. These were cut in brown vinyl using the vinyl settings in the silhouette cameo designer software. The next thing was the words in the heart shaped leaves. These were cut at .65" inches tall. I used white vinyl to cut these. Since this is such small I changed the cut settings. I still used the vinyl standard settings in the designer edition software, but I slowed the speed down to 3. The last thing to cut was the year 2013. This was cut at .50" tall. I used black vinyl for this cut and also slowed the speed down to 3.

This was a blast to make and I LOVED spending time with Melissa in my craft room. If you ever want to spend time with me and help me "Kreate" stuff come and knock on my door!
