Well this month Dr Phil Scraps and his design team are featuring the new Cricut® Artbooking Collection. Well I am in LOVE with this cartridge. Everything you need to create mini-books or layouts is all in this cartridge. Everything is even perfectly sized for you.
Well I decided to make a mini book for my best friend who just had the blessing of welcoming a little monkey into her family. This was a perfect time to use the Cricut® Artbooking Collection along with the Babycakes Paper Packet and the Wild Wonders stamp set. All elements for this project were taken from the Cricut® Artbooking Collection and the majority of the project features cuts from pages 50-51.
The mini book project will be showcased over the next two weeks on this site. This is the first 4 pages of the mini book and next thursday I will showcase the last four pages. This book will be bound using my Cinch wire binding and you will see this in the finished project.
Here is the cover page of the mini album. The giraffe was from the Wild Wonders stamp set. The entire book is cut at the recommended size from the cartridge book of 8 inches. The sentiment Hello world can be found on page 84 of the Cricut® Artbooking Collection. This layout is featured on page 50.
On the back of the cover page I featured a pocket from the mini album and used some tags with sentiments on them. I attached some photos to the back of these. I wanted to create a pocket that the parents could put some of their favorite loose pictures. The Sentiments "My Favorite Photos" can be found on page 40. The sentiment "Little Toes" can be found on page 85. The sentiment "Sweet" can be found on page 85.
My friend has been taking monthly photos of her kiddo to show his growth. The third page shows the first 3 photos, while the next 3 pages will have the other 9 months. The sentiment "Ready Set" come from page 69. I did not use the "go" part of this sentiment. I got the "Grow" part of this sentiment from page 69.
The back of this page continues the monthly photos. This page also features the lion from the Wild Wonders stamp set. Now the great thing with this cartridge is that it coordinates with all different Close To My Heart collections. So as you can see my stamp lion matches the lion that is featured on page 51. This way you can choose to have the stamped lion or use the cartridge to cut him out of paper. This shows how versatile this cartridge is! This layout is from page 51.
So there is the first 4 pages of the Baby Mini-Album that is featuring the Cricut® Artbooking Collection. I am having a blast using this cartridge. This cartridge has so many different projects and ideas that it has easily become my go to cartridge for many projects.
