So as many of us are aware, masculine cards are tough some times. Well my brother's birthday was approaching and I wanted to make his card very personalized to his gift. Well, he was buying some game called "The Last Of Us". Yeah....don't ask me...I think it is a zombie shoot them up and kill them to save the world type of game. Anyways.....the thing I love about the Silhouette Cameo is the ability to import your own graphics. So here is what I came up with:
So for the outside of the card I wanted it to be very different from the inside of the card. So I wanted lots of colors and wanted them to be very birthday themed. So the sentiment says, "On Your Birthday You Can........Or You Can..." I used my Silhouette Cameo print and cut feature to make the sentiment. Part of the software is the gradual color rainbow change. I found the birthday-themed stickers at Hobby Lobby. So the outside is all themed around his birthday and then when you open the card:
It tells him he can save the world by playing his game "The Last Of Us". I imported the entire backdrop of the card and then traced the two people to each side. I was able to cut out these two and then using foam squares I raised them up from the background to give them some dimension. This card was a HIT and was so personalized to his gift!!
