Hey Everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations.
I am so excited to show you a very special project. A very beautiful young lady reached out to me to ask me if I could help her with her halloween costume. She is going as a nerd for halloween and wanted to know if I could help her make a shirt proclaiming her love for nerds. This was perfect project to use my Cricut Explore and my brand new Gecko Heat Press.
She LOVED how this shirt turned out and I now want to share it with all of you. I will write all the instructions below including the Design Space link.
So for this project I used my Cricut Explore, Gecko Heat Press and the following images. For this specific project I used the Cricut Alphabet for the font, When I Was A Kid for the heart and the Circle Exclusive Indie Days for the glasses over the heart. Now once you open the above Design Space File and hit go to preview your item DO NOT FORGET TO MIRROR YOUR IMAGES BEFORE CUTTING OUT THE DESIGNS!!
Once you have mirrored your images you can move to getting you Iron On Material ready. Make sure when you put your material onto the mat you put the material face down and set your smart dial to Iron On NOT FABRIC.
For the Iron On Material I used the following colors: Black for the glasses and frames and Pink for the heart. Cut out all materials. Make sure at this time you start to pre-heat your Heat Press.
Once you have all of your items that you cut place them on the T-Shirt and make sure everything is positioned just right. You will be layering the heart on the bottom (2 press process) and then the black glasses on top of that. Once your Heat Press reaches 330 degrees press the shirt for 17 seconds. Let the T-Shirt cool and remove the transfer paper from all pieces. The shirt is ready to wear!!!
