BIRTHDAY CARD

Hey Everyone! Ken here with Kens' Kreations

So I have had my Cricut Explore Air for 4 months now and I love the simplicity of the machine and how well it cuts my projects. One of the great thing about the Cricut Machine Family is the ability to use Cricut Design Space. This program makes design so easy so you can concentrate on your project and not the software.  However the Cricut Explore Air gives you so many more amazing features. I am excited to announce that I will be giving away a Cricut Explore Air (details at bottom of the post) with features including:

The ability to design with your iPad without buying any additional items

Compact design with built in storage so you can take you machine "on the go"

Superior precision cuts that have been tested over competitor machines.

One of my favorite features of  Cricut Design Space is the access to the Make It Now Projects library. This library gives you tons of inspiration and projects. These projects have been already sized, designed and arranged, so all you need to do is hit "GO" and your machine does the rest. Take a look at this video to see a closer look at the Make It Now Projects:

I was able to use a current Make-It-Now Project to make this project:

I started with Cricut Design Space and went to the Make-It-Now Project. Now the original Make-It-Now Project featured the phrase "Bonjour" and I wanted to say "Happy Birthday". So instead of hitting "GO", I was able to choose the "Customize" button and change out the sentiments. For the font on happy birthday I used the DonJuan Cartridge. This cartridge features a writing style font that I simply adore. If you prefer this project over the original Make-It-Now Project you can access this file by CLICKING HERE.

After I was done customizing my project I just needed to hit"GO" and my Cricut Explore Air did the rest. I used all Cricut Cardstock for this project including the Candy ShopAnitquityWildflowers, and Southwest. i prefer the 8.5X12.  For the pen I used the new Cricut Fine Point/Calligraphy Pen Set. Make sure you are subscribe to Cricut's newsletter so you do not miss out on new product announcements. You can sign up for their newsletter at their home page www.cricut.com.

Once all my pieces were cut out I was able to construct the card. I ran the balloons through my Cuttlbug Embossing Machine using the StripeFlower and Swiss Dot embossing folders on different balloons. I attached Grey Twine to the balloons and secured the twine on the back using some Washi Tape. I raised the balloons and sentiment up with different heights using Foam Tape

I just love how this project turned out and how easy it was using the Make It Now feature in Cricut Design Space. I will be featuring two more projects this week highlighting other features of the Cricut Explore Air

Now I am excited to announce that I am giving one of my lucky subscribers a change to win a Cricut Explore Air. Make sure to take a look at ALL of the different ways to enter this contest. You have a 7 different ways to enter this contest that will give you a TOTAL of 10 entries!!
