COLORBURST BIRTHDAY CARD

I am excited to show you my project today. I always struggle with masculine cards, and of course I have a ton of guys in the family. Well fortunately I have found yet another use for Color Bursts. Using the right color combinations can give a very masculine look!

I used a lot of different material for this card. I started with the card base. The card base was made from the Sizzix Framelits Triple Circle. This made all the pieces you see in the card (with the exception of the inside sentiment). I took Fun Stampers Journey Black Licorice and Whip Cream card-stock and ran my die through theGrand Journey Machine. Once all the pieces were cut I was ready to have some fun with  Color Bursts. Start with the Journey Modeling Paste and sprinkle a SMALL amount of desired Color Bursts into the  Journey Modeling Paste. Mix this using a Spatula until it looks smooth. Next use the Circle Stencil and apply the cream in desired colors over the stencil onto the card base. Remove the stencil and let dry or use a Journey Gun to speed up the drying process.  Apply this same mixture to the scalloped punches under the pierced circles.

For the pierced circles I picked out a masculine stamp set for a teens birthday. I used the Many Thanks Stamp Set icons and stamped them using the Brutus Monroe Inks. I raised these up using the Journey Foam Sqaures from the scalloped circles. Once the sides were dry I used White Journey Tape to adhere them to the Black Licorice base.

On the inside of the card I used my Cricut Explore Air with the Cricut Variety Pen Set to write and cut my sentiment. I took the sentiment and using the Lil'Inkers Side Stitched Die ran this through my  Grand Journey Machine. I finished the sentimenet with a little highlighting from the  Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink Pad. This was also raised up from the car using  Journey Foam Sqaures. To break up the back and front of the card I used the Lil'Inkers Stitched Scallop Die and in each scalloped put a dollop of  Liquid Pearl.

This card was a blast to make as I look to work with FUN new mediums in my projects. Make sure to check out all of the new materials I used from Fun Stampers Journey  below! Thanks for visiting today!!
