BABY BLUE BY TATTERED LACE REVIEW

Hey Everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations.

So many times in my craft room I find myself making small cards or gift tags, and I am reaching for my Cut-N-Boss. As much as I love this machine, at times it is nice to just have a small compact manual machine to cut small dies. Recently I was introduced to a machine that fits this niche perfectly. This is the Baby Blue by Tattered Lace.

The Manufacture States:

This small and compact machine is ideal for table top crafting where space is limited. An excellent addition to your craft room, the Baby Blue by Tattered Lace  is lightweight and durable and will travel easily to conferences, vacations, events and more. Perfect for crafting with the kids as the machine is smaller than most and easier to lift. Great for beginners and advanced crafters.
The suction cups on the base of the machine will create a sturdy working platform for hours of crafting. No assembly is required for this machine. The Baby Blue is durable and robust and ergonomically designed so you can craft without fatigue and stress to your hand and wrists.
Upon discovering this machine, I was intrigued. The low price point at debut of 19.99 also was a warm invite. So naturally I wanted to invest some time to see if this would be a good investment for those of us who wanted something to have in our arsenal for a quick turn around for small dies. So in this video lets see what comes in the box and how the Baby Blue by Tattered Lace does with metal dies and embossing folders.

The Baby Blue by Tattered Lace comes with the following in the box:
  • Baby Blue machine (9.2 in x 4.3 in x 3.4 in)
    • Front Aperture: 3.2 inch
  • 1 x A Base Plate (3.8 x 6.2 inch)
  • 2 x B Cutting Plate (3.8 x 6.2 inch)

Now the machine itself is pretty small, which is the concept. It will cut and emboss dies and folders 3.07" wide X 6.29" long. I tested multiple third party dies and embossing folders in the machine and as long as it would fit through the machine and in the plates it did a fantastic job with the cutting and embossing. In the video I used metal dies from Lil'Inkers, which tend to be more intricate, and I was surprised on how well the Baby Blue by Tattered Lace handled these.
The only issue and negative point I found with the Baby Blue by Tattered Lace was the suction cups along the bottom of the machine. I tried the suction cups on numerous counter tops to adhere. I tried to use baby wipes water and spray bottles to moisten the suction cope to suction to my table and nothing seemed to help. This was not a huge issue as the machine is lightweight and small and I was able to hold it down with my other hand, but it would be nice for some people to have this work.

Now the Baby Blue by Tattered Lace and Baby Blue Dies can be found EXCLUSIVELY on Create And Craft. I was able to find a handful of dies on Amazon. I am in love with the design and look of the Baby Blue Dies as they all have the intricacy worked into the dies that give them a beautifully elegant look. Even if you do not end up purchasing the machine I would consider looking into these beautiful Baby Blue Dies
Overall I would have to say that my go to die cutting machine is still the Cut-N-Boss, however at a price point of $199 I realize that this is not an option for everyone. The Baby Blue by Tattered Lace right now is 59.99, however if you use code BLUE25 it brings this down to just 19.99. This is an amazing price for the quality of this machine and the cuts it produces. This is a MUST HAVE to have in any craft room to cut those small dies the you just need quickly. You will be able to take this machine with you on the go to any crops, craft events or to a craft night out! For $19.99 it is a no brainer!
