BROTHER SCANNCUT2 REVIEW

Hey Everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations.

I am so excited to finally be able to test out the Brother ScanNCut2. As many of you are aware I was not too happy with the results of the first Brother Scan-N-Cut due to the inconsistency of the machine. However, I had heard about some improvements in the machine both physical and in the software that was supposed to improve the capabilities of the machine. So, here I am with my Brother ScanNCut2 video review:

Now before we take a look at this review, it is important to note that I did review the first Brother Scan-N-Cut over a year ago in a 2 video series. One covered the Scan-N-Cut Feature With Pattern Paper (CLICK HERE) and the other looks at the Scan-N-Cut Feature With Stamped Images (CLICK HERE). Now I still have and use the first Brother Scan-N-Cut, however mostly for stamped images, so I am excited to see if the Brother ScanNCut2 will perform better with pattern paper. Let's take a look:

So what does this Brother ScanNCut2 include? What makes it so different than other machines?
  • Color touch screen display with large 4.85" screen for easier viewing
  • Wireless Network Ready* using ScanNCut Online – transfer files with ease
  • 300 DPI Built-in Scanner to create your own cut files
  • Stand-alone use with built-in designs and fonts, no fees, no subscriptions
  • VG data readability - Utilize art files you already have, no need to buy more
  • ScanNCutCanvas - Free cloud-based web application for editing and designing cut data (visit ScanNCutCanvas.Brother.com)
  • Precision Cutting - German carbide blade, Japan design quality

Now this machine has some big PRO's and CON's depending on how you look at it. Either way, you look at it, in my the  Brother ScanNCut2 is a HUGE improvement over the Brother Scan-N-Cut in both it's the ability to scan-n-cut and the physical body improvements. We will address this in our next video, Brother Scan-N-Cut vs. Brother ScanNCut2 set to release in just two weeks. As for this video entry lets look at my results, the pros, cons, and my final results!

So for me I will say I am a fan of the Brother ScanNCut2! Once you figure out how to use this machine, you will see what it truly does, will have some amazing benefits to offer certain points of crafting. This is a dream for anyone who is a stamper as it always does an amazing job with any of my stamps and cuts a perfect offset around all of them. This is also great for anyone who is mass producing cards since you can make a ton of stamps at one time.

When the first Brother Scan-N-Cut came onto the scene I was more excited about the ability to scan some pattern paper and cut certain elements from the paper. But this sadly was very disappointing as you will see in my Scan-N-Cut Feature With Pattern Paper (CLICK HERE). However, with the new Brother ScanNCut2 I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the new RGB color function how much more ability the scanning function had to pick up items. Also simply tricks by simply moving my item solved many of my issues. I have to say that the Brother ScanNCut2 was a much better success than its predecessor. It is very important to note!!! Certain machines WILL REQUIRE YOU TO PURCHASE the 49.99 WIFI activation card to use any of the wifi features. This is yet another frustrating added cost to this machine.
