Well, many of you know that recently I purchased the new and improved Brother ScanNCut 2, This came with a slew of upgrades and features, so naturally I wanted to make a review of this new nifty machine. You can watch this review by CLICKING HERE.
Well, naturally many people who already had the ORIGINAL Brother ScanNCut, were left distraught. Either buy a new machine or lose out on these benefits. BUT WAIT! That is NOT TRUE!!! Many people are not aware you can UPDATE your current ORIGINAL Brother ScanNCut to include many of the NEW software features that come included with the Brother ScanNCut 2. WAIT, WHAT?
So in this YouTube video we are going to discuss how you can upgrade ANY of your Brother ScanNCut machines to the most up to date software. After you watch the video make sure you check out the rest of the post where I will give you all the links to the updates, compatible USB drive list, and more!
So as you can see this UPDATE is a MUST for any owner. However I will admit I ran into some minor problems when attempting the update. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the USB flash drive. So to make our lives easier lets get you some easy steps and links to make this update super easy.
1) Buy COMPATIBLE USE flash drive. If you try to use just any old flash drive the update WILL NOT WORK!! So make sure to review this list and buy one that is compatible!

2) Format the USB Flash Drive to your computer. To make this process easier I have given you some videos to follow:

3) Download the SOFTWARE UPDATE to your computer desktop. To find the software update go to the Brother website and select your machine and operating system and download:

4) Drag the software download into the USB flash drive
5) Insert USB Flash drive into your Brother ScanNCut and follow the video above!
Just like that you now have the MOST up to date software for your Brother ScanNCut! For this video I was able to update to the 1.7 version, which depending on what Brother ScanNCut you have will give you the following updates:
Brother ScanNCut CM100DM 1.7 UPDATES
Brother ScanNCut CM250 1.7 UPDATES
Brother ScanNCut CM550DX/ CM550 1.7 UPDATES
