In August of 2017, I was fortunate to attend the "Make Something You Love" event in Utah. At this event, Cricut announced some new products coming to the DIY movement. The BIG announcement was the introduction of the NEW Cricut Maker. At the time they announced the Cricut Maker, they shared the adaptive tool system which makes the Cricut Maker revolutionary! The first tool for the adaptive tool system was the Rotary Tool which gave the Cricut Maker the ability to cut through hundreds of different fabric material with amazing intricacy. But the tool that I had my eye on since the Cricut Maker launch was the Knife Blade. Well, today is the day that I finally get to test this amazing addition to the adaptive tool system. In today's post, we will cover what makes the knife blade different, give you 10 tips for beginners and also show you how to change the blade! All of this after the jump....

A huge trend currently in the card making craft community is shaker cards. I LOVE any card that encourages the recipient to be interactive with it. Shaker cards are at the top of the list, as they not only encourage people to use them but usually generate a HUGE smile! However, sometimes make shaker cards can be a huge task. Now you will find many tutorials on how to build your own shaker cards, but I have found a way to make shaker cards in less than 5 minutes. How? Well, let's chat about that!

Well, many of you are aware by now that Cricut has released a LED Light Board called the BrightPad. As soon as this item was released, people were reaching out to me to compare this new BrightPad to the recently released Cutterpillar Glow. Today, I am so excited to share with you something I have been looking for in the past year. Over the past few years, mystery and subscription boxes have taken over the world. To say I am an addict, is putting it lightly. I have subscribed to the Cricut Mystery Box and love it, however I have not been able to find one that is geared towards the Silhouette Cutting Machines, until now!

One of my MUST have tools in my craft room is the Scotch ATG adhesive glider. In fact, I am shocked more people do not use this tool on a regular base. Well, recently at a craft retreat I might have found out one of the main reasons people stay away from this tool. When I was at this retreat, it became my part time job refilling the rolls into the machine, and then giving a personal tutorial on how to use it. It was obvious, people just were intimidated over it. And, to be honest I can see why! It does not come with very clear instructions on how to use this tool, let alone refill the Tape Rolls when the time came. So today I am happy to help you with both!

Recently Cricut released high end Cricut and Totes to the crafting communities. Now these are not your average Totes that you have seen at crops. These new premium Crafting Bags provides organization and storage for all your Supplies at home or on the go. At first my excitement for these new Totes were non-existent. However, once I took a closer look at the quality and possibilities, my interest in reviewing them quickly changed!

So many people write me everyday asking what craft machine they should invest their money in. 10 years ago, the landscape for personal cutting machines looks very different from the one now. The top three machines I get asked about are the Cricut Explore Family, the Silhouette Cameo Family and the Brother ScanNCut Family. I own all three machines and have done individual reviews on each of these machines. However, I have not done a three way comparison.......until now.
